Unity developer & technical artist.
I build the code and make it look right.
Game development student and technical lead of Tostekatten - a small indie studio I co-founded. My work sits at the intersection of code and visuals: gameplay systems, custom shaders, environment art. I care about games that feel like every frame was handcrafted.
Four-person studio. Original games, deliberate craft.
itch.io/tostekatten ↗I work at the overlap of programming and technical art - writing the gameplay systems and the shaders that make them look right. Most developers do one or the other. I do both, and I think that shows in the work.
On the code side: gameplay architecture, combat systems, custom behaviour trees, physics interactions, and anything that needs to feel precisely tuned. I care about how things feel as much as whether they work.
On the art side: custom HLSL shaders, Shader Graph pipelines, VFX Graph, post-processing stacks, lighting and environment composition. Every effect is written to serve the specific tone of the project.
The goal is always make it feel as good as it looks. Tight combat feedback, readable environments, effects that reinforce the game's identity. Technical work in service of something handcrafted.
"I do the majority of coding across our projects, but I'm equally comfortable making something look exactly right. It's rare to find both in one person, and I'd say it shows in the work."
Open to placement opportunities, studio work, and collaborations. If something I've made caught your eye, reach out.
